Doves are symbols of peace and love, they are also considered messengers. The little dove here is a mirror that despite all of the broken pieces and abstractions can still be seen as a figure. She dances with a gold butterfly - who is a symbol of metamorphosis completed, shining in her freedom. I made this little dove as a mirror. The mirror is to see me - for that vision to be a reminder that my decision to be peaceful and open to messages as they come through my life experiences and circumstances is my responsibility and mine alone. I can say in the 38 years I’ve been here I’ve been seven completely different people. I know that for my life - for as dark as it got - the law of polarity will bring me into that level of light and abundance. That is a constant message of peace, something that is only within me that I get to know. This painting is a symbol of the change that only life lived and learned from can bring.
