A lake is a feminine symbol, often the home of monsters and magical, mystical powers. Water is so often portrayed as a symbol for being reborn into the light. Lakes also represent the transition of our life from one phase to the next. Your spirit, all that you are and have and share is a mystical, magical power within itself.
I believe our whole point of spiritual evolution here is to come from the light, through the dark, and back into the light. Which is exactly what you are an example of. The way you speak, the way you carry yourself emulates a powerful clarity, organization, and structure. Impossible magic to a person of such opposite like myself. I find myself always learning from you, able to listen to you, able to tell you whatever I need to say, and know that you will understand me.
A lake can be many things in many facets of light and darkness. Peace and chaos. Depth. A grounded point of truth. Your particular lake, Lake Norman, has a historic battlefield from the Revolutionary War on the bottom. And a plane from the 1970s. A plantation house, a couple of bridges, and even Normie, the monster. Funny how in quick view that would be hard to imagine. Just like you, the lake has many stories.
A lake though isn’t a miracle. Because a miracle can never die. It remains suspended in time, almost like a candle that has lit hundreds of candles with that original flame. A miracle is a light that keeps on giving. That’s you. This painting reminds me of a mystic lake and a dream catcher all rolled into one. There are so many shapeshifters within the work - just as you unpeel the layers of yourself and find new depths and stories, you will always find new shapes and friends within this canvas. To me, you are a miracle. And your stories of “going to the lake” are something I want to do with you always.
