Hope Aquarium

36x48 resin-coated to give this complicated green ocean aquarium goddess an extra boost of shine. I am always the most inspired by what I see underwater. I was extremely close-minded about snorkeling at the cove, but when I finally got under the water it was the most immense, neon peace I had ever felt. I painted this canvas that same day. 

This canvas is discounted immensely because the bottom part of the frame is bent. I didn't even see it until the painting was completely done and hung up. So, if you are an artist like me, avoid buying canvas at Michaels. If you must make sure to lay every single canvas down flat on the floor and examine it to 1. make sure the canvas hangs flat (this one does) 2. no totally bent edges. 

In the end, we're all a little crooked underneath. But it doesn't mean we don't learn from it, walk through fear, and put our heads underwater with pinchy masks for a spiritual awakening anyway.
