Seneca Illinois is like a misty morning in an Irish Forest to me. It is a place that only exists in my distant memory - I would go to winter guard competitions there to see my Sister perform. I think it is more the feeling of being young enough to think a three-hour drive is going to take me to the end of the Earth. Or the memory of everyone around me being so much older and involved with living life. Sometimes I'm not sure what exists to me more - the feeling of who I think I was once in a certain place or the actual place itself. Either way, I love the name, and I love the illumination of this portrait that gives life to something very structuring but mundane in principle. "A memory of what time felt like before I grew up."
