16x20 Frame - Art is resin coated into the frame and cannot be removed.
I found her in an alley behind my house. All splintered up and discarded. I said to the frame "I will make you into something beautiful, and find you a good home. You will shine." I practice hot yoga five days a week. There is a part in the second part of the awkward pose - where you stand on your toes and balance with both arms facing out. Every day my teacher says "Now balance like the ballerina you always wanted to be."
I never became the ballerina that little me always wanted to be but I do know how to harness the power of that strength and balance- and how to hold it. I also know how to see what is there even if it hasn't arrived yet. This painting is a frequency of that balance, strength, and vision. Delicate but solid - childlike and absolute in the knowing of my highest capacity.
