12x12 . Silver Frame. Resin Coated - acrylic/ glitter/ canvas.
My local grocery store is really small. Mostly it’s just people grabbing a few things. I will always let someone go in front of me if they only have a few items and I have a full cart. Sometimes it’s two or three people. It is a simple courtesy and not a big deal. Recently I was having the most hectic morning and had to run to the grocery store, late for my yoga class. I only had to get vegetables for the dogs' food that I cook. (Don't tell em I called them dogs.)The woman in front of me had a full cart of groceries and graciously let me go in front of her. After me, she let two more people with only a few items go in front of her. She had a pastel tie-dyed sweatshirt on, and it gave me a flash of hope for this planet that I haven’t felt in years.
The pop and sparkle of this piece of art - a glowing, dominant rainbow with a silver lining as a frame - brings me back to the Earth where people are kind, aware, and thriving. This painting is about not only being the pop of light in an ordinary day but also identifying it in others and showing gratitude.
