Since there really aren’t key tags floating about much these days, I wanted to give you something magnificent that is sparkly, black & gold and not a carnation. I probably won’t be able to say this in a room of boxes full of people online but please know in your heart what an important friend and confidante you are to me. Even when I think life sucks the most, I can think of you and our role in each other's lives and feel immense gratitude.
I remember being so lost last year and how you texted me after we hadn’t talked for some time. I was on the beach, there was a huge foggy wind storm whipping everything around. I cried the whole time because of the grace, the mercy that you gave to me in that moment. They were tears of gratitude. Of joy. Of relief.
This painting is a storm. It is the storm that got you here, the storm that keeps you here, the storm that teaches you to go deeper and relearn once again the magic, power and perseverance that you are. It is the gift of desperation and the miracle of salvation. It is a chip of the magnitude of the spirit that I see and feel in you.
The kind of connection that always saves me when I need it most.
