It’s another sunny afternoon I think to myself. Ocean sparkling, palm trees in view. Top down I drive up the strand, Oasis on the radio. “All your dreams are made, when you’re chained to the mirror and the razor blade.” I wondered at that moment if I’ll ever be able to let go of what it took to get to the ocean, into the sun. A shadow observing the light, until it was what I became instead.
